Carpentry
The Carpentry program offers students the chance to learn woodworking and carpentry skills, building a foundation for a rewarding career in the construction industry. Focusing on craftsmanship, students develop confidence in their abilities. Students will learn:
- Construction Basics
- Tool Safety
- Measuring Practices
- Site Layout
Careers in carpentry and other trades will be explored during the course. This program is for students that are good with hands-on projects. Students that complete this program will leave with construction and woodworking skills, students are able to leave with an OSHA 30 safety certification and pre-apprenticeship credit.
Cosmetology
Our Cosmetology program introduces students to the world of beauty and personal care. With a focus on technical and communication skills, students gain knowledge for success in various beauty-related careers. Curriculum includes:
- Salon safety & sanitization
- Hairstyling
- Makeup & Facials
- Manicures
- Salon marketing
- Salon management
- Communication skills
After completing our Reach Cosmetology course, students will continue their career at a Cosmetology school of their choice to earn their State Cosmetology License.
Students selecting Cosmetology should enjoy working with people, along with being eager to learn technical and social skills.
Veterinary Science
Veterinary Science offers students the opportunity to explore animal-related career options while exploring topics like:
- Anatomy
- Behavior
- Ethics and Law
- Parasitology
- Pharmacology
- Physiology
- Posology
Students will be able to discuss their post-secondary goals and find guidance with the Program Coordinator and the Career Readiness Coordinators to begin their continued education and/or career in the Veterinary Science field! Students should have a strong foundation in Science (Biology) and Math.
